The Detroit News published an article on November 11, 2209, about the Polar Bears titled "History's Lost Regiment: The Polar Bears". Many of you may know that my grandfather Ottavio Mastrogiovanni served in WW1 in the 339th Infantry Regiment in Russia fighting against the Bolsheviks.
